orld, both 12 hour formatted clock and 24 hour (railway) clocks are using along different countries. In case of computer, after installation of Windows, default clock may be in 24 hour or 12 hour formatted.
If your country or region is using different clock format than default, then you have to change the format of your clock from 24 hour to 12 or vice versa. So you have to do following steps…
Ø Open ‘Control Panel’. Now make sure control panel view is in ‘Large icons’ or ‘Small icons’ (Learn more here).
Ø Then look for ‘Region and Language’. Open it.
Ø In new window, you can see the format of ‘Long time’. Click on that list box.
Ø From given list select your format.
- h:mm:ss tt => 12 hour digit without zero as prefix : minutes : seconds AM/PM => Example: 8:10:32 PM
- hh:mm:ss tt => 12 hour digit with zero as prefix : minutes : seconds AM/PM => Example: 08:10:32 PM
- H:mm:ss => 24 hour digit without zero as prefix : minutes : seconds => Example: 7:10:32
- HH:mm:ss => 12 hour digit with zero as prefix : minutes : seconds => Example: 07:10:32
These are the common steps in almost Windows operating systems like Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, etc.
