Before some months, I was seeking my favorite mobile number, unexpectedly I got a trick and now I am the owner of my favorite number. Now I am going to share my idea. For this, you need to visit a mobile number provider’s office they provide fancy numbers for postpaid customers. In Kerala, currently Reliance and Tata docomo provide a facility to choose favorite mobile numbers for new postpaid customers. I used the Tata Docomo provider for getting my fancy number. There you can search the availability of number on their computer. In Docomo, there are some types of fancy numbers such as Free, Silver, Golden, Platinum, etc. Where ‘Free’ fancy numbers are free to get, and others numbers are not free, that is you need to pay some money to get. There are many combinations of numbers. For example, if you are seeking for a number which ends with 54321, then a number which start with 97360 may be in Golden but that may be in free section when it starts with 92960. After getting a fancy number, then choose minimum postpaid plan with less money and wait until 3 months. After completing 3 months, now you can switch from postpaid to prepaid also can PORT to any other network such as Vodafone, Airtel etc.
I switched from postpaid to prepaid, and now I am still continuing in Docomo. But I can switch to any other network at any time using Mobile Number Portability (MNP) facility.
I tried this tick in Kerala, I don't know the availability of fancy numbers in other state around India
