Hiding the Search Bar on Windows 10 Startbar

In previous Windows versions like Windows 7, an active and simple search bar is located on the start menu. Which can search for basic files as well as applications those are installed on the Windows.

In Windows 10, search bar is located on taskbar for direct searching on our local computer files as well as internet matters. This makes you a direct way to search everything even with the Microsoft Cortana.

As a serious person working on computer, you might open many folders, files, applications together. But the large width of search bar on taskbar spoil the active and minimized applications’ icons. If you compress the search bar’s size or if you hide it, then you will get much space on the taskbar.

To perform the hiding, you have to right click the startbar. In Windows 10, you can see an option named ‘search’ on the given list of context menu.
There should be three options that expands the ‘search’ option.

Default is ‘Show search bar’, which makes search bar on the startbar, that is currently you are seeing.
The second option ‘show search icon’ shows a small search icon on the startbar instead of a long search bar. Which may be more suitable to you if you use the search option often directly.

Next one is the exact one to hide the bar entirely. This totally hide the search bar but you can perform the search function by typing on start menu.
